Let Her Go - Passenger

But you only need the light when its burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low
Only hate the road when you’re missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go

“I can’t breathe I can’t breathe I can’t breathe” she whispered into the voidthe words were broken and worn as they left her lungsand when nothing came back she cried.because no matter what she saidno matter what she didit was a void
an unfamiliar, unavoidable emptinessit all felt like a liebecause she could breatheshe couldbut on nights like these when she reached into the voidand nothing came backshe could swear that although she could breatheher soul was suffocating

“I can’t breathe I can’t breathe I can’t breathe” she whispered into the void

the words were broken and worn as they left her lungs

and when nothing came back she cried.

because no matter what she said
no matter what she did
it was a void

an unfamiliar, unavoidable emptiness

it all felt like a lie

because she could breathe
she could
but on nights like these when she reached into the void
and nothing came back
she could swear that although she could breathe
her soul was suffocating

Why don’t you tell me that, ‘if the girl had been worth having she’d have waited for you?’”

“No, sir, the girl really worth having won’t wait for anybody.

“When The Night Comes” by Dan Auerbach

“When the night comes
You don’t have to be afraid
Of any choice that you made

When the night comes
And you lay by the one you love
The one who knows you
The things you do
When the night comes”
